If you think your posts have been respectful then I don't think that word means what you think it means. Your posts have been in general disrespectful across the board. They are full of double standards, insults and judgements.

perhaps you can reconcile something for me, what's the difference IYO between, my BFF and say, shortening a thought to, U R it? TIA.

I know this wasn't to me, but I want to give my two thoughts.

BFF, IYO, DH, LOL are somewhat equivalent to FBI, ATM, PIN, etc. They are abbreviations or acronyms. Each letter stands for a word in a longer phrase. Usually it is significantly shorter to type the acronym or abbreviation than to type the whole phrase. (BFF = 3 strokes; 18 strokes)

U R is not an abbreviation or an acronym. They are just shortenings of individual words. And there is no significant keystroke savings. (You = 3 strokes; u=a stroke)

actually, BFF is insulting in the adult world. i would never stoop to "BFF" to describe my very close friends. it's slang, it's inappropriate.
