I have pretty severe metal allergies, and I can't wear jewelry at all. Sometimes, even the rivet on a snap or button on my pants will cause me to break out.

A nice digital picture frame WOULD be nice. :)

It looked like a perfect day! I am so glad that you and your friends were able to enjoy it. Dh and I are talking about renewing our vows in a couple of years...just so that we can have the party w/out the *real* wedding stress, lol. I think that my own wedding was beautiful, but I didn't *really* enjoy it, iykwim.

I think what is getting lost here is that when a person over the age of 15 uses the term BFF, for example, there is some element of irony, humor or tongue in cheek when using the term.

I have friends who had older moms and it was just awkward. Nothing against it, I don't even had 1 child yet but I see a major difference between older and younger moms. You're right, I have seen 50 year old women who act like they are 18 and it is not cool at all. They have not grown up and as a result, their children suffered.

I have yet to insult anyone but have been many times, and yet I am respectful enough to respond to such remarks. This conversation about respect or lack thereof is old now. Done.

I think it's a matter of perspective. I had older parents when I was born back in 1966 - my mom was 40 and my dad was 50 when I was born. It was what I knew. When I looked at my friends parents growing up they all seemed very young and silly to me. Now as I hit the cusp of 45 I know that age is really just a number. I know I have the knowledge gleaned from experience but i don't feel in any way 'old' - maybe because I do so much theater so many in their teens and 20s... maybe because I have an 11 year old..maybe b/c I'm kinda cool. who can say really. But age really is just a number
