This whole story
We all set out to be perfect parents but then life happens.
Divorce, illness, depression, stress, bi-polar disorder, death, single parenting, special needs kids
I once walked in on a friend who was banging on the door to her son's shower screaming something aweful at him.
I just looked at her and

I mean that is abuse,
I think her lawyer will plead it down to a lower offense and agree to counseling.
Unfortunatelly - parents are not held to much of a standard.
If it goes to court - the prosecutor would have to prove physical and/or mental abuse.
Municipal law says "Unreasonable discipline" constitutes child abuse.
Yawn! Really! No but I think they probably parent their kids with a little bit of a stiff hand. I think they carry guns and play with their children close to bears. Oh no that just Sarah Palin - I should not generalize.
And yes - I do generalize to say that parents in Alaska parent different than parents in Beverly Hills.
