1.  We've talked a lot about our favorite season's over the years, but what is your least favorite, and why?

2.  Summer time is camping season.  Do you camp?  What types of locations do you prefer?

3.  Is summer *your* big get away season, what types of *get aways* do you enjoy?

1.  Spring, hate rain and expecially storms.

2.  No, I have tent camped once (30+ years ago) and in an RV twice.  DH and I are a bit of a oddity in our familes,  all three of my siblings have RVs and his dad and two of his sibings do.

3,  Now that we are empty nesters we try to vacation during the school rather than in the summer.  We usually  get away at least one weekend per year to see a ball game, probably will not this year.  One of our favorite trips was to the Grand Canyon.   We like visiting museums expecially those that have to do with American history.  We have been to two presidental libraries and may do a third this year.  LBJ Space Center was great.  Have also been to a few military museums.

1.  We've talked a lot about our favorite season's over the years, but what is your least favorite, and why?  I suppose winter.  I don't dislike it because it's not really that harsh here in the mid-Atlantic, but overall compared to the other three seasons, it would be my least favorite.

2.  Summer time is camping season.  Do you camp?  What types of locations do you prefer?  Totally not a camper though I have done it a few times and on those few occasions really enjoyed it.  Well, except for the campsite in S. Dakota that was on the side of a road heavily traveled by 18-wheelers at night.  Seriously though, I've only camped a handful of times.  Dh and I camped on the beach in Hawaii and that was awesome.  It was a Marine base that had a campsite right on the ocean and it was heavenly.  Then we camped several times while driving across country right after we got engaged.  My favorite stop was in Arizona in Havasu Canyon.  We hiked 10 miles down into the canyon and camped right on the Colorado River.  Pretty cool.  But we were young and unencumbered.  I don't have a desire to do it now with my kids.  I suppose if you were really into and had all the fancy gear it might be cool, but as novices, it was not all that exciting.  And I don't like sleeping on the ground.

3.  Is summer *your* big get away season, what types of *get aways* do you enjoy?  Not necessarily.  We do go to the beach a lot because we have a beach house two hours away.  But usually we take our fun/nice vacations during spring break.  We all love the beach but since we do that all summer long, our bigger vacations usually are to places we are unlikely to get back to again - some places we've taken the kids....Yosemite, Hawaii, Vancouver, Tahoe, all over Northern California, lake vacation in New Hampshire and Maine, Florida (not Disney...bleh!), southern CA, Seattle.  Love Europe and just went to Ireland last year.  Hoping to take the whole family to Italy in the next couple of years.  I like vacations that have some relaxation but some cultural experiences as well.
