Why can’t you just use your credit card?

Cash can be seen and touched and kids get that, usually at an early age,

on this last house, the lender at DH's bank tried to heavily persuade us into an interest only loan, remember those?

And some things are more personal to others. I would hope you would understand that and a lot of things I say might be "hypothetical" too ;)

perhaps we can start with interst rates, i'd love to know how better an interest rate is that REQUIRES escrow, i could pass that on to my sister then who rents, there's got to be benefits to fianncing even if it is at 100% purchase price.

I said that the last time my mortgage company was collecting a "cushion" for my taxes and insurance, they wanted $700 from me on top of the extra money (my taxes and insurance go up every single year from $200-$400 just on the taxes) which I knew would come up.

I think everyone needs some type of spending or free money. I wouldn't want to feel like I couldn't go and get a bag of chips from the machine at work if I was hungry or give money to someone at work for a wedding or baby, etc.

No, I write down all categories and my electric and oil is on budget so it is the same for one year. My cable/internet/home phone and cellphones are in one bill and they are almost the same each month. My water bill is once every 3 months. I save the average and it really doesn't go up too much but maybe the summer. We spend the same amount on food every week. Life insurance is the same monthly. Car insurance is twice a year.
