I no longer micromanage the budget.
Taxes take about a 1/3.
We take 1/3 off the top for savings: 20% for retirement, 8% for college, and 5% for vacation, home improvements, entertainment, cars... I never see it.
We live off the rest - the percentage has stayed the same for about the last 15 years. This includes tuition and childcare costs. I use excel too, and sweep our accounts into MMS for all but operating expenses.
Nope but they will lower your bill for the following year.
We never had one either until we started going on vacation.
It's not an insult, it's a debate point that you choose not to further engage, though you've given enough data to work through it. Can you point out where this is exponentially wrong based on what was given? My son can alter his work with more data.
BTW -The example includes payment taxes and homeowner's insurance which were not paid at the same time, in a way that was most favorable to you.
If you are math-challenged, my apologies. My children are much better at this than me and they love word problems. They do this for fun and hopefully future profit.
I really don't see how you can make judgement on what others do regarding escrow if you can't so the simple math and cost-benefit analysis, though.
Again, thanks but don't need the insults. Still upset about the tennis game?
