Why can’t you just use your credit card?



Cash can be seen and touched and kids get that, usually at an early age,

Well, obviously your math is COMPLETELY WRONG, thus invalidating all of it, because the insurance is paid at month 7, not month 12, and you're just too dumb to realize how wrong you are.

LOL, Nic can do that math too, but it's not to Mycherub's advantage. I thought $45 a year savings was high.

But what do I know, I live in a low property tax town and its only "hypothetical" by me.

I can recommend Quicken. You can set up categories and it remembers payees. You can also set it up to remind you of recurring bills. So, we track our spending that way. The nice thing is that it will generate just about any kind of report for you, so at the end of the year, for example, you can have it spit out exactly what you spent on any given category. It is very nifty. Of course, DH doesn't like when I make it calculate how much he spent on books@@

thoughtful answer, thanks..i doubt banks are going around telling their lending customers whose at risk and whose not, that would be rude.
