Why can’t you just use your credit card?
Cash can be seen and touched and kids get that, usually at an early age,
Ok. To each his own. I like to get my report and fico score once a year. Not sure why some don't find it important, even after buying a home. There are so many things that might and will come up in your life that will have something to do with that score.
That score allowed us to furnish ous entire apt. at the age of 21 instead of having to save money for years and having a used mish mash of things. That score as allowed us to replace appliances in our home and do so at no interest. That score has allowed us to be able to buy new and almost new cars at the lowest or almost lowest interest rates.
I don't think anyone here has stated, or even implied, that FICO scores aren't important.

Yes, checking them and your credit once a year is important. Fico scores can be ruined by fraud.
I just would never think that because I have bought a house already that my fico score is not of any use to me anymore though.
I check my FICO score on a regular basis, once each year with each of the three major companies, but more to check for fraud and errors than anything else.
<>Good. Cause no one has indicated anything to the contrary.
Pretty much so:
We were really worried about our score before we bought our house,
although it was excellent. Now, it doesn't really matter all that much.
