Why can’t you just use your credit card?

Cash can be seen and touched and kids get that, usually at an early age,

Apparently, if you use the mobile version of the boards, any reply will show as being to the first post in the thread, instead of being directed to whoever you're actually replying to.

Darn it. Makes it hard to follow a conversation back that way.

How can it be a personal question when in her post, she wasn't even asking you a question?

That's nice, but then, you are not a 14-year-old learning about basic money management.

I think it's an excellent way to teach children about money.

How is that question (even if she'd really been asking you a question) too personal but asking me the details of my credit union accounts wasn't?

Last year I bought the stamps and the cards but never got around to writing/sending them.

lol!! Sales people will say almost anything to get a sale. Especially homes. They tell the average new homeowner how much they can spend on a mortgage. They tried to tell my friends they could spend $100,000 more than they wanted to-lol!! Why? Because they took the % of how much you should be spending on your mortgage. Smart people, who have budgets know how much they can and can not spend. People who just put money in a checking and savings account and just spend what is in that pot, most likely do not know.

Have you looked into buying in bulk?
