Why can’t you just use your credit card?

Cash can be seen and touched and kids get that, usually at an early age,

Gotcha, new from the warehouse, used from a personal owner.

They never ask for personal info when buying from a store? That seems quite odd. Wouldn't they want to know who is coming to pick up something, a phone # to contact?

You don't buy new appliances and furniture from a retail store much I guess.

Did i say i never? If i did i need to calrify...I have had furniture delivered befor , once......we dont do it anymore... It is too difficult for the delivery men to find our house, and to get their trucks in and out of our road...ait becomes a production... so we use the trailer...

Anytime I had to pick something up, I would give them my name and phone #. I would think they would want to get in contact with you if there was a problem with the pick up time, date, etc.

All kinds of stores ask me for personal information, e.g. zip code, tel number, email address, and though I never give it to them, they have never refused my cash purchase.

Do you have a different experience?

Nope, same experience. I have no problem giving them my info. I enjoy getting coupons from giving out my email address. Just last night by dd and her friends got to benefit at the bowling alley with the coupons I got from giving them my email address the last time I was there :)
