Why can’t you just use your credit card?

Cash can be seen and touched and kids get that, usually at an early age,

We have done this before and our name and info was on the receipt. Different stores, different procedures.

In most cases, I'd rather merchants have my phone and address than my email address. I. Hate. Spam.

In fact, I have an email address that I use for nothing but signing up for things that require an email address. I think I check it about twice a year.

EXACTLY! If you understand that, then why all the questions and disbelief that other posters can operate without giving our their name and address and other info?

I would rather have the email and delete it than them calling my house and sending tons of advertisments.

I don't get much "junk" email so my computer must spam it out before I even get it.

I may facilitate a warranty service

Did you purchase large items that required warranties on them?

I have always filled out the cards and sent them in.

Mailed ads are easier for me to throw away ... they're much less common (becaseu they're way more expensive for businesses than email campaigns are). And I have caller ID so I can ignore the few phone calls that are generated.

I don't get much junk mail on my real email address ... but I get tons on the other ... which is why i use the other. And don't check it often.

When I've opted for or used warranties, the info has gone to the manufacturer ... not the retailer.
