How do you define a "Sheltered" Life?

Thought I'd bring up this topic as some people think I have lived a "sheltered life" because I went from living in my parents home to getting married and not living on my own. I was curious of what everyone's definition of living a "sheltered life" is.

Thank you, very interesting and I don't remember the exact details but I'm thinking that it had something to do with a stop loss based on the conversation.

The thing is, anyone who qualifies for a 29K bonus is likely to have the kind of special skills that would translate to an even higher bonus in the civilian world. One person who would get that would be an army surgeon. Few take it. They can get six figures sign on bonus just for signing a five year contract with a hospital.

People who leave the military when their commitment is up are not the career military folks we are talking about here.

My faith allows 3 divorces. It is a Christian church.

The Catholic church while it doesn't allow divorces, will grant an annulment for a price, at least according to some of dh's friends who were married in a Catholic church, divorced and then re-married in the Catholic church.
