How do you define a "Sheltered" Life?

Thought I'd bring up this topic as some people think I have lived a "sheltered life" because I went from living in my parents home to getting married and not living on my own. I was curious of what everyone's definition of living a "sheltered life" is.

....which I answered and I don't know if they are anyone's realities or not, mg09 seems to be a new poster, so I am not drawing the same conclusions about that and I can't seem to get you to answer my questions, so again....I'm not sure.

Oh, I know my view isn't mainstream .. which is one more indicator of why organized religion and I don't get along, lol.
My opinion of what it means to have lived a "sheltered" life:
Physically sheltered is when a person has never had to worry about the basic needs of life (food, shelter, security, transportation) because those needs have always been guaranteed for them by another person. For example, someone who has always lived at home, or who has never had to pay for their car, or who has a relative that bails them out of every financial crisis.
Emotionally sheltered is when a person has grown up generally unaware of or unconcerned with the broad spectrum of individual circumstances regarding things such as race/ethnicity, cultures, religions, family structure, personal values, socioeconomic statuses, and local/national/international conflicts.
Yes, perfect.
