I have read that all adults needing 8 hours of sleep is actually false.

Most adults need between 7-8 hours of sleep to function that their best.

What is your magic number?

I've read that not having TVs in bedrooms make for better sleep. Something about reserving the bedrooms for sleeping (and other stuff ;) ). http://marriage.about.com/od/intimacy/a/tvinbedroom.htm And children do better without TV in their rooms. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/04/health/04well.html?_r=1

What would men be without women? Scarce, sir, mighty scarce.

When we first put a TV in our bedroom it was not because we wanted a TV in our bedroom but because of all the different tastes in TV we wanted another option and we only had one living area. It wasn't so much the bedroom TV but the extra TV.

When we moved here and finally had two living areas, the TV was moved and we did not have one in the bedroom for a few years. We did eventually put one in our bedroom (I think I got it for Mother's Day one year). But that TV broke and we will not be replacing it as we now have more than one option for TV viewing.

No, No,

Well, what was your point then?

Yes, I would say 99% of the time.

I find that hard to believe, but if you say so....
Did you read the artilcles that were linked, specifically, the one about TV's in kids' rooms?

They didn't list any positives to kids having them.

Why do you find it hard to believe? Does your children close their doors and you are unaware of what they are watching on TV?

I have not experienced any of these things in my family.
