I did some last minute errands, shopping and so forth this morning.

DS#1 is working the nursery at church for the 5 pm and 7 pm services. I am simulatneously wrapping gifts, vacuuming around the tree, fixing the lights on one of my Bethlehem pieces, assembling the trifle, and wishing I had another 24 hours before Christmas.

This morning I made an apple pie and a blackberry pie for dessert for Christmas dinner tomorrow. Then, we went to DH's grandma's assisted living facility's Christmas eve lunch. We got back home around 2pm. The kids and DH napped while I assembled corn casserole and scalloped potatoes, so all I have to do is stick them in the oven tomorrow-- here's hoping it works! Then we went to my parents house for Christmas eve dinner. It was really nice. My brother and SIL came up after dinner and I got to meet my brand new niece (1 mo. yesterday). Now, I'm frantically trying to finish some laundry and clean a little bit while I'm waiting for the kids to go to sleep. Tomorrow, we're having my parents, MIL, SFIL, and DH's grandma over for dinner. It's going to be a lot of fun.

I hope you feel better soon! I was really sick two years ago on Christmas. It was no fun at all.

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling better and was able to enjoy dinner. Just been feeling a little light headed. Not sick, just kind of off. Just got home from Mass and waiting for kids to be completely asleep so Santa can come and I can get some much needed rest! Fortunately my father is doing all the cooking tomorrow so I can mostly relax. I think all the running around the last two weeks caught up to me and the caffeine just freaked out my system since I'm not used to it. Have a wonderful christmas! It's so fun when you have little ones!

I don't wanna talk about it. My 1011 mile trip to get the kids to their dad and then get back home to my mom's house turned into 1438 miles. New Mexico was a flippin' mess. I got to my mom's 24 hours later than planned. So we spent all of Christmas Eve driving on snow-packed roads. Much of that at 25-40 mph. ugh.

After 5-6 hours of driving on Christmas Day, I finally made it to my mom's. Sigh. I was never so glad to see the Texas state line.
