Yes, it does. Which is why, according to the article, they recomend using a cc, not a debit.

Paypal is a little more secure when you do not know the merchant. On E-Bay for instance, any fool can get on there and sell a few things, get a lot of credit card information, and sell it so someone else. Big merchants can do that too, of course, but somehow I feel safer without everyone on Etsy and E-Bay having my credit card info, including the CCV number on the back.

Cash back is not a gimmick. It is a fact that some posters can take advantage to their financial gain. That seems to be beyond your comprehension because you keep bringing it up in a negative way.

I would never use a credit card or give any type of personal information to any online site that did not have httts ssl secure protocol.

Ok, I just don't use that.

It's fine that you do not want to save money buy getting cash back or free airline tickets.

Also I forgot to add, Amazon saves cc info, address etc, so I see no advantage to using paypal on Amazon.

EGD, if you use your credit card to pay for a transaction on EBAY, the merchant has your credit card information, unles you go through PayPal. I'd like you to explain how Discover's cash-back is a "gimmick." Sure it's a gimmick, in that they use it to attract and keep customers, but why would I not want to take advantage of their terms? What exactly am I missing here, EGD? Please reply ASAP because the second semester tuition bill is due Thursday.
