I have to pay a 20K tuition bill tomorrow. I would love to hear some rational reson why it's to my advanatge to send that money to the school tomorrow rather than put it on the credit card tomorrow and pay off the credit card company on the 4th and get a 1% rebate. Alas, there's no triple refund on education expense offer this month....
Well, remember some years ago there was a poster on here who was constantly refinancing debt and looking for quick fixes. Maybe Egdblessed is basing her opinions about cc use on that.

EGD, if you use your credit card to pay for a transaction on EBAY, the merchant has your credit card information, unles you go through PayPal. I'd like you to explain how Discover's cash-back is a "gimmick." Sure it's a gimmick, in that they use it to attract and keep customers, but why would I not want to take advantage of their terms? What exactly am I missing here, EGD? Please reply ASAP because the second semester tuition bill is due Thursday.

"c : a trick or device used to attract business or attention gimmick>"
Also I forgot to add, Amazon saves cc info, address etc, so I see no advantage to using paypal on Amazon.

It's fine that you do not want to save money buy getting cash back or free airline tickets.
