I just came from a 3 1/2 hour IEP meeting that started at 7:30 this morning. I want some fluff.

1) What are your three mainstays that get you through the tough times. Not family, or friends- but what things do you do to come down from a tense time? bath? chocolate? glass of wine? read a book? watch tv? post on message boards?

2) What is for dinner tonight?

3) If you could drive to the nearest airport and get on any plane (or series of planes) and go anywhere you wanted and stay for 5 days, where would you go and what would you do? This trip is prepaid. Would you take anyone with you?

4)Do you like spa pedicures?

Exercise, prayer and sex (not necessarily in that order).

2) What is for dinner tonight?

Enchiladas

San Diego, one person, just relax

I would take Mike with me to Mexico or Sedona or Santa Cruz.

Son 2, it went well but we had to pay $115 per hour to have it go well. (We hired a consultant who could push through "no we can'ts" with- but it has been done or the law states....)

I have to say for a county that advertises itself as world class and a school that advertises it self as a cut above the others within that county- I have been severely disillusioned as a result of the process. The initial IEP was almost verbatim of an example Wrightslaw has as a very poorly written IEP. I expected more. But they have agreed to do more intensive reading on a core reading program that he knows and has had success and we still will employ our reading tutor twice a week to supplement.

Through this process we have found out that a Title I school would probably have been a better fit for him because they are well versed in reading literacy challenges. So much for Lake Wobegon. We are looking to pupil placing next year or sending him to the Lab School (have to find the money, have to get in, and need to have some answers about science and math concerns).

Thank you for asking.

I am not sure really. Freaking out?

2) What is for dinner tonight?

No idea and it is 7PM here.

I would go to Rome, ALONE, and wander and do whatever I want.

4)Do you like spa pedicures?

I have never had one, mainly because the thought of someone touching my feet icks me out completely and I do not like nail polish on toes anyway.
