infant care reviews

I'm starting to research infant care facilities and it's just one big disappointment over the other. At first I thought KinderCare would be good enough and affordable but every online review and then my husband's cousin who worked at a competitor said do NOT send an infant/child there. Kids are neglected, diapers on too long, mystery bruises/cuts, etc. Not good! Then I'm looking at other local chain (Bobby Noonan, Sandbox, Chesterbrook Academy, LePetite) and I'm just overwhelmed and dredding all of this.
1. On the 'cheap' side of $224 a week we're looking at over $800 a month. I don't know how we are going to pull this off and still save for an emergency fund and get on top of debt.
2. I feel utterly horrible that I have to put my 8 week old infant in one of these places. My husband just bums me out with his business and ways. To be honest, it's because of him that we have zero options yet his measely income is what causes all of our problems. He owns his own business which is barely bringing in anything (it's been 6 years of fluctuations). He can't give me extras beyond his 1/2 of the mortgage meaning I'm responsible for everything from utilties to doc bills to my own bills. He has no college degree or trade skill so he can't get a decent job. He has a poor work ethic with traditional jobs. He's looking into (meaning it's all b.s.) a second job but I'm thinking what for? It's going to be minimum wage anyway and nonstop complaining. I just rather he stays home but I honestly can't do the entire mortgage, bills, debt on top of his $10k debt.
I just don't know what to do. We're in the SW burbs of Chicago. If anyone has any infant care recommendations, let me know.
