on how families spend time.
That is interesting. Apparently we are abnormal that our kids are outside so much. Interesting how the wives stress dropped talking to the husband in the evening, but it did not drop as much for the husband.
The coat/shoe thing doesn't happen that much here, dh just says "I'm leaving" and heads to the car. If kids refuse coats I grab them just in case and I head the car too. As I saw well stated on one Nanny 911 show, 'the baby ducks follow the mama, not the other way around.'
I think that the fact that there was not much outdoor activity may or may not mean much.
The study was done over a one week period. There could be reasons why no time was spent outside during that time frame.
During spring break when the temps are in the 70s-80s I see a lot of kids outside playing, in August when the temps are 100+ not so much.
I think that longer term study would have to be done to see if it really did have much significance.
I'm laughing because my DH read this and said "I bet most of those women weren't talking to a husband like me."
LOL, mama duck.
