Welcome... I am Lois, age 54, WOHM to two sons, 18, soon to be high school senior, and 14, a high school freshman. Which means I am done with the Middle School years and not a moment too soon.
Hey, welcome! I was born and raised in Joliet, IL and then graduated from Moline High school out in the Quad Cities. My folks live, amusingly enough, in Normal (it's funnier if you know us ;) I'm a turncoat, tho; I live in Maryland now.
I'm a single Mom, but my son John is grown and got married 2 weeks ago to a lovely young woman that I am very excited to be able to call my DIL. And she has a 2 year old from her first marriage, so I'm a step-Gramma, too, which is AWESOME! :)
Welcome! I'm Lauren (46), a single WOHM with one son, Joel, who is 16. We live in central Virginia.
We'll have to exchange IEP stories someday. My son is physically disabled and I had a devil of a time, when I suspected a learning disability, convincing one school system that he could be "allowed" to have two problems. @@ I eventually solved the problem by moving to another county.
I believe that everyone must rejoice in his destiny, in the fact that he has lived at all and achieved a destiny. Destiny is the only sure asset.

Welcome. I'm Chris, wah at my dressmaking business. Married to dh for 37 years. He works at a developmentally handicapped group home for adults. We have 3 girls: Joy, 32, married, with 3children: Alex, age 5, Lindsay, age 3, and Parker, 18 months; Erica, 30 on Friday, married, with one child, Matilda, age 20 months and another girl due in Sept; Angela, 26 next month, lives on her own. Joy and family lived with us for almost 2 years. They just moved out into their own home. And then there is our son, Dylan, age 12, going into 7th grade at the end of this month. We are currently homeschooling Dylan through our local charter school. This year, 7th and 8th grade will be in a classroom 3 days a week and home 2 days. We live in San Diego county, CA.
This turning into a biography so I'll quit here. Anything else you want to know, just ask.
