Does anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem when I use explorer -- but not with Firefox but yeah seriously the ads are crazy making. I stay away for days at a time cuz it's so not worth it.

It is apparently an explorer problem. I use Safari, so it does not crash, it just takes forever to load quite often. The only downside with safari (and I think firefox as well) is that you do not see the toolbar for making things bold, blue etc.

Oh, I wondered how people did that. I use Firefox and haven't been having any problem with crashes.

I use firefox and still have problems.

Seriously, there are four or five ads on each page, usually moving and half the time they cover up the links for the actual content. And there are pop-ups, surveys for iVillage that are not about anything having to do with iVillage except its advertising, in addition to pop-ups from scammy looking companies that get through the pop-up blockers. Now they even have those Bing links in the text! It's beyond maddening.

The one that bugged me most recently was that whole Lay's promotion. I was sorely tempted to submit the slogan: "The family that lay's together, stays together." With all the nutrition, health and weight loss content here, I don't see why ivillage should promote potato chips.

BTW, what do those Bing things do? I clicked on one, got a menu, clicked on a link to a post on another board and was led to an advertisement for placing my add in the link (or so it seemed). Completely pointless. I just checked, each of those bing things give me the same little window listing 3 links to posts on other boards, the first one is always about Uncle Bud dying. But if I click it, I get an ad for placing an ad.

I use Firefox. I gave up on Explorer a long time ago. But everything is so slow to load that I can play several hands of solitaire before I can scroll down to read. It's ridiculous.

And while we're at it. I hate the alpha/slacker mom quiz. I read the first question as "I" missed the bus, not that my child missed the bus. Nothing is that either/or.

LOL, yes that one bugged me too. I would never chaperone, but I would never let the poor kid miss the bus either.

When it's not ridiculously slow, it crashes.
