I'm going to repeat what I say pretty much every time this topic comes up.
I don't feel guilt over WOH. In order to feel guilt, there must be something I've done wrong. And WOH isn't wrong.
I sometimes feel disappointed - that I'm not home playhing with my kids, or that I missed a recital, or that I spent a good part of the last 3 snow days working instead of enjoying the time off with my kids. But guilt? Nope.
My kids do no suffer signficant negative impacts because I WOH. In fact, they enjoy significant postives. So, WOH isn't wrong, therefore, nothing to feel guilty for.

That's too bad. However, I bet that plenty of SAHMs feel guilt too. It seems to be an affliction of many mothers, working or not.
I was about to say the same thing!
However, I think people don't necessarily feel guilty - guilt means that you feel you have done something wrong.
Yes!
Very good point. Feeling some regret or doubt is not the same as actual guilt. maybe the real problem is that people fail to make this distinction.

I'm one of the 70% that said they feel guilt about working.
