1. When it is humid, does your hair go flat or frizz up?

2. Coke or Pepsi?

3. What color shoes would you wear with a little black dress to a wedding? (I have an idea of what I am going to wear but looking for more suggestions)

my mom went through such agita getting dresses for my brothers and sisters weddings that would please the brides and be appropriate yadda yadda and when i got married she said "I've been the MOB I've been the MOG and I've learned one thing - NO ONE GIVES A DARN WHAT I HAVE ON" and she went to JC Penny's and bought a lovely dress that did just fine and she was able to wear many more times.. I've always remembered how matter of fact and calm she was -- that was one benefit of being the youngest -she knew the ropes by then!

My mother sort of followed cues and honored our wishes in what she wore to our weddings, When I got married I asked she not wear a jacket or cape cover-up like she wore at my sisters' weddings b/c I knew she could pull off a nice gown without that even with her weight problem. The same woman that made my gown made her dress and she looked incredibly striking in it, That pic of her is one of my favorite framed ones.

We are driving home from vacation and in the badlands of eastern Wyoming where there is nothing but sky and cows and road and we can't even get a decent consistent radio signal, so I am keeping DH amused with the conversation here, among other things. There were a few antelope a while back, but we seem to be out of antelope country.

If you ever decide to pony up for the Sirius/XM radio in a car, I've become a huge fan of Book Radio. During my commute home--since March--they've read Elizabeth I (Margaret George), Medicus: A Novel of the Roman Empire (Ruth Downie--I highly recommend it) and right now they're reading Anne of Green Gables, which is always a fun :)

DH and I have done audiobooks in the past. I dunno why we didn't think of that this time. It really wasn't an issue until today.

I've always been really low key and told her to wear whatever she was comfortable in. When My wife and I got married my daughter was our joint "person of honor" and we took her to pick out a dress at a local David's Bridals-- I walked in and said "whatever color, whatever style as long as its age appropriate" and the staff said "REALLY?" all around us were brides screaming at moms and bridesmaids bickering and I said "yes, any color any style" the staff person said "wow. that is really refreshing!" she picked out a sweet strapless pink short dress that was adorable.. of the three of us she was the only one in a dress that day :-)

My Mom picked out her own dress for my wedding. I do not remember consulting with her at all. It was powder blue, and she looked lovely. My MIL wore beige, as it turns out, with white accents. There was no drama. The pictures are fine.

Same here, bord. My mom wore powder blue and my MIL wore beige. They both looked very nice.

aw thanks Grapthars! I thought so too -- I can't believe that was nearly THREE years ago!! She seemed grown up to me then and now when I look at the photos she seems like a little girl!
