1. When it is humid, does your hair go flat or frizz up?

2. Coke or Pepsi?

3. What color shoes would you wear with a little black dress to a wedding? (I have an idea of what I am going to wear but looking for more suggestions)

In not wearing beige. It's my worst color. But I'll do my darnedest to shut up.

"My all time favorite line from a Mother of the Groom was, "I'm just going to shut up and wear beige. That's what every good MOG should do."" -------- LOL, exactly. Guests do not need to wear beige, obviously, but I think nicely dressed, yet also a bit understated so the bride an shine, is ideal.

my mom went through such agita getting dresses for my brothers and sisters weddings that would please the brides and be appropriate yadda yadda and when i got married she said "I've been the MOB I've been the MOG and I've learned one thing - NO ONE GIVES A DARN WHAT I HAVE ON" and she went to JC Penny's and bought a lovely dress that did just fine and she was able to wear many more times.. I've always remembered how matter of fact and calm she was -- that was one benefit of being the youngest -she knew the ropes by then!

"I think you should wear the TT dress myself..." --------- ROFL! Which reminds me, years ago dd had gone to carnival as an 80s disco queen in an electric blue get-up. The picture prompted a comment from Bord that dd would make good DIL material. Match made in heaven!

"Im not wearing beige. It's my worst color." --------- Yeah, come to think of it, I would look absolutely ghastly in beige. Sort of like a short Gwyneth Paltrow, with a super-sized nose. I am planning on navy.

I hope I have another chance to wear the TT dress while it still fits. We don't have any more black tie events scheduled for this year, though. But it will not be going to a wedding anytime soon!

I think strapless dresses/gowns are inappopriate for a wedding too unless they're being worn by the bride or her bridesmaids.

When I was growing up, it was considered bad taste to wear black to a wedding as black is the color of mourning, and you weren't supposed to wear white because that is the bride's color. I know that us considered an old-fashioned rule nowadays, but I can't bring myself to break it.

I actually never heard that rule.  I heard no one else but the bride should wear white.  And when beige became the new white, that no one should wear beige either.  That's why I always find it so shocking when the mother of the bride or groom wears white/beige.  I cringe thinking about the photos and the power play behind the scenes. ;)
