1. When it is humid, does your hair go flat or frizz up?

2. Coke or Pepsi?

3. What color shoes would you wear with a little black dress to a wedding? (I have an idea of what I am going to wear but looking for more suggestions)

She sure has, hasn't she Bord?  I"m SO proud of her-- she'll "graduate" from 8th grade tomorrow night with 12 quarters of straight As in honors classes under her belt-- no small achievement!  She was one of 11 kids from her "team" to successfully pass the placement test for Freshman HOnors English, and she auditioned and was accepted into her new high schools "concert choir" one of only four Freshman!   I'm so so proud of all she is and all she is becoming!

My MIL was in beige too come to think of it, She had some sheath over it and its probably the dressiest I've ever seen her.

Lots of mothers of the brides/grooms wear beige!  I always gasp though.  But it's a really popular color.  No one told them the rule.  Or subconsciously they're competing with the bride.  Surprised

My mother couldn't attend my wedding. I don't remember, and didn't care what my mil wore.

"Gwyneth Paltrow looks beautiful in anything." ------------ I don't like her looks, but probably because she looks very generically Danish to me.

"My Mom picked out her own dress for my wedding." ---------- Yes, same here. It never occurred to me to tell her what to wear, come to think of it. She wore a 2-piece that was white with a large, red flower print. Definitely not beige, lol, but she looked lovely. Dh's grandma, who was very much like me, wore powder blue. My grandpa looked smashingly dapper as always, and my auntie was also elegant. Never had any trouble with MIL after that ;)

Oh, and MIL wore something that looked like sack cloth, trying to show contempt. Instead she ended up looking sort frumpy and petty.

When my husband and I announced our engagement to my parents, my father reflexively reached for his wallet and asked us how much we thought it would cost to elope. My mother smacked him with a rolled up newspaper. in the end, I won with a courthouse wedding that involved zero complication about clothing, seating arrangements, and gifts.
