1. When it is humid, does your hair go flat or frizz up?

2. Coke or Pepsi?

3. What color shoes would you wear with a little black dress to a wedding? (I have an idea of what I am going to wear but looking for more suggestions)

We had friends that got married Halloween weekend, My DH was in the wedding and the colors were real dark, lots of black and orange.  And wait..  Wasn't black a popular trend color for wedding parties a while ago?  How very Morticia.....  Lol!

"Why would you be invited to a wedding of someone you don't really know? "

1. We are friends with the parents of bride or groom.

2. We have a professional connection of some sort to either the couple or their parents.

3. Bride or groom wants to forge a relationship with us, usually for professional and/or political reasons.

4. Politics.

Typically these kinds of weddings have 300-800 guests.

How is that backpedaling?  It's perfectly true.

How is that a "Foot in Mouth" moment, springy?  Are you suggesting that Lois is obligated to think in lockstep with everyone else on the board?  I'm more than a little secure in the idea that Lauren is quite well able to remain good friends with Lois, even if one wore black as a bride and one doesn't think black is appropriate for women at a wedding.  They (and I, so really, we) are funny that way.

What a shame for you that you cannot seem able to wrap your mind around the idea of friends having different opinions. Frown

It happens all the time ... more so with fancy, big traditional weddings.  The coworkers of the parents, the old college friends of the parents, relatives you haven't seen since you were a young child, business colleauges (even clients) of the parents or grand parents.  I think it's silly and ridiculous, but I've seen it over and over.

Back pedaling? Gave you been paying attention when Lauren described her wedding? Did you get the idea it was even remotely close to the happiest day of her life?

And? You found it funny what your dh said about women wearing black to a wedding. No matter how her wedding was, she opted to wear a black dress. Don't think I would have mentioned that on here after knowing that.

I always wonder that too, Spring. The last invite we got was to the second marriage of the mother of one if DS's high school friends. I've talked to the woman maybe half a dozen times in my life. Yeah, that is odd and actually rude because it looks like they are just looking for a gift if they are not that close enough to you to know them or their kids.
