We ended up sending the ex out for Cool Whip--which is only fair because he and John are the only ones for whom Thanksgiving would be ruined without it.

I make all my pie crusts with a recipe similar to that. I use a cup of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar to brown the crust, and 1/4 teaspoon each of baking powder and salt. Cut in 5 tablespoons of frozen butter cut into small chunks, blend until you have small pea sized bbbits, then add in a tablespoon of ice water ith a squirt of lemon, mix with a fork. Keep adding water a tablesppon at a time until the mixture holds together but is still dry. I usually use 4 tablesppons all together. Pat into a flattened ball and wrap in plastic wrap and chill for an hour at least before rolling out. The less you handle the dough and the colder the ft stays, the flakier the crust.

Stopped and got milk on the way home because we ran out last night, but since I didn't cook today, it wasn't really a "last minute" run to the store kind of thing.

Now that we're home and ate 5 hours ago, I might order pizza.
