I much prefer living with adult children than teen children.

my girls have these plans, one doesn't want to leave home and has said she'll commute to college, the other wants to experience dorm life, i expect these feelings to change, maybe not. and who knows what direction my youngest will take, LOL...they know this is an unconditional home and that the door is always open.

My older son is enrolling in a college two days drive from us. We will miss him, but on the other hand, our ultimate goal was to raise an independent, self-sufficient adult, and he is on his way to becoming that.

"When DD1 was 14 she told us that she never wanted to live alone and never wanted to get married so she would just live with us forever.

my sister stayed home the longest, it wasn't until she moved out of town for a job that she left home..and of my brothers and sisters only one of us went away to school, that college was about two hours away too.
