1. How many pairs of sunglasses do you own?

2. Besides big ticket items (like houses, cars, etc.), what is one thing that you will spend extra money on because you feel you get what you pay for with that item?

3. Name one thing that makes you happy this week.

1. Three--all prescription.

2. Tomatoes. Because most bright red, perfect tomatoes in the grocery store are just pretty little tasteless lies. I'll pay $5/lb. for tomatoes to get what I want. Cymbals are an item that you obviously get what you pay for too.

3. I start work as a political advocate tomorrow. I'm way more excited than I ought to be.

1. How many pairs of sunglasses do you own?   i know I have two-one for everyday wear, and one I wear for running.  They are for sports and don't move around in my head.  I  also have a couple of old pairs that I leave in my car and dh's car in case I can't find my regular pair.  I wear sunglasses *all* the time when I am outside or driving! even on cloudy days if there is any kind of glare at all.

2. Besides big ticket items (like houses, cars, etc.), what is one thing that you will spend extra money on because you feel you get what you pay for with that item?  I'm not sure what you mean by "extra" money but I will not always buy the cheapest thing available when I know I can buy a more reliable item that might cost more.  Like a car for example.

3. Name one thing that makes you happy this week.  Five day vacation for the kids from school!  Half day on Wednesday b/c the Blue Angels are doing an air show for Commissioning Week at the Naval Academy, then Thursday is our school's high school graduation and Friday is Naval Academy graduation.  Due to all the traffic in town for these events, our school does the half day wednesday so kids can go see the show, then they are off Thurs thru Monday.  We are heading to the beach Thursday morning to get the heck outta town while all the tourists are here causing havoc (in a good way though!).  Oh, I forgot, tomorrow is my birthday!  not that I really care but the kids like celebrating so I'll indulge them.

:)  This year is the 20th anniversary of my cousin's graduation from the Naval Academy.  John and I were able to join my aunt, uncle and my other cousin to watch the graduation and then walk down to the Academy to see my cousin's brother (at the time a USAF Captain) help commission her into the Air Force.  (He gave her the Oath of Office).  I was just looking through those pictures a week or so ago--I'm going to have to dig them up again for TBT :)

How many pairs of sunglasses do you own?    Six, personally.  Dh has at least 6, also.  We wear sunglasses all the time outdoors, unless it is dark.  UV blocking, glare stopping, drivers, sport glasses--different glasses for different activities and light conditions.  We are both blue-eyed, and more susceptible to damage than the average bear. We've been protecting for at least 40 years.

Besides big ticket items (like houses, cars, etc.), what is one thing that you will spend extra money on because you feel you get what you pay for with that item?   Sunglasses.

Name one thing that makes you happy this week.  We find out the sex of our latest grandchild tomorrow.

1. How many pairs of sunglasses do you own? 2 or 3.

2. Besides big ticket items (like houses, cars, etc.), what is one thing that you will spend extra money on because you feel you get what you pay for with that item? Certain shoe brands. My favorite shoe brand makes shoes from good quality leather and lines their shoes in goat skin. It makes for a shoe that wears better and lasts longer.

3. Name one thing that makes you happy this week. My cousin, whom I consider a sister, came to visit.

Received an invitation to my cousin's baby's 1st birthday party/dedication.

I agree.  And I love grilling in winter!
