Great news!

You mean, years from now after the appeals?

I don't know, it's not my area of law.

true true. I heard bits and pieces about the trial and yea, it seems that all the testimony pretty much said she did it. If she goes to jail, then will be she be in charge of the food? ;-)

She's never been my favorite person, but I think she's being made a scapegoat. What she did saved her 51K - BFD for someone making millions.

Granted, she never should have DONE it in the first place and then lied about it. But I think she's a woman people love to hate and are happy seeing her fall from the pedastal we've put her on(or she's put herself on?)

Anyhoo - I agree that she's "guilty", but had it been an average Jane selling the stock, I'll bet no charges would have even been filed.

Why on earth is that great news? IMO, the whole deal was a collossal waste of taxpayers money. Does it make any sense that Martha Stewart sits in jail while OJ is free? What was her crime to humanity? She lied. OMG! She saved herself a whopping $50,000 by selling her shares. She was not found guilty of insider trading - her crime was telling a lie. And that is great news?

ITA. I am not particularly fond of the woman myself, but come on... is she really a risk to society and should she really be imprisoned? I think not. In total agreement with you - she has been scape goated. I heard someone refer to her as the whippin' girl.
