What plans lie ahead for May

Your kid comes home and says s/he wants to be homeschooled.  When you ask why she says because she doesn't like going to school anymore..  What do you do/say.....

If you were granted one wish what would it be

Despite being part of a great school system,  we are part of a homeschool community of over 300 families that spans several towns and reaches into Chicago. Co-ops classes, and social opportunites abound.  Plus kids are free during the day to get together. Friendships are based on common interests.    I'll answer more in depth about curriculum later. Right now it is in the low 70s and sunny and I am heading out to the deck with my student ot facilitate math, vocabulary, grammar, and history.

1.  Work.  Lindsay's birthday is this month and there is Mother's Day with my mom and sisters.  It's also the month when my mil died, so I'll be thinking of her more than usual this month.

2.  The question at my house is asked the other way around.  In either case, the answer, after some more, in-depth discussion, is "if that's what you really want".  And they would have to commit to a full year of classroom.  Unless, it really, really isn't working out after exploring all options.  Then we would pull them out and go back to homeschooling.  Dylan, right now, has no intention of going back to a classroom full time.

3.  Tough one.  Probably more money.  As in getting paid what I'm worth.  I have everything else I want or need.

<<What plans lie ahead for May>>

School stuff, sports for the kids and myself, hopefully May flowers and lots of outdoor time!

<<Your kid comes home and says s/he wants to be homeschooled.  When you ask why she says because she doesn't like going to school anymore..  What do you do/say.....>>

I would work to figure out what has changed, what happened in their life to make such a drastic change...

<<If you were granted one wish what would it be>>

To be able to make a lasting and positive contribution to the world.

1. Similar to my plans for April.

2. If my child said s/he wants to be homeschooled, I'd suspect something was wrong at school.  If it were insurmountable, then we'd start touring the area private schools.  Maybe the Catholic schools too.  Some here are very good.

3. One wish?  I'll have to think about that.

What plans lie ahead for May Nothing in particular.

Your kid comes home and says s/he wants to be homeschooled.  When you ask why she says because she doesn't like going to school anymore..  What do you do/say..... I find out what the problem is and take steps to solve it.

If you were granted one wish what would it be Not sure, since I tend to overthink this kind of stuff. I guess some kind of wondercure for bad chronic diseases - diabetes, MS, cancer etc.

Can you include SMA in your cures?  Because if you do, then you will have taken care of several of my wishes, and I can scale my wish back to just a lot of money.  ;)

What plans lie ahead for May -- Is it May? lol.  Let's see, we have coming up:
-- band spaghetti dinner/musical
-- band banquet
-- graduation (dd will play; we'll go to see friends' kids)
-- I have a 5k mud race
-- end of school
-- a possible work trip to Austin - although I'm trying to push that off to June
-- spring band concerts
-- my birthday
-- lots of little things
-- lots of "usual" things - excessive yard/gardenwork, etc

Your kid comes home and says s/he wants to be homeschooled. When you ask why she says because she doesn't like going to school anymore.. What do you do/say..... -- tough chit kid.

If you were granted one wish what would it be -- two new staff people for my office and the appropriate resources to match.
