What plans lie ahead for May

Your kid comes home and says s/he wants to be homeschooled.  When you ask why she says because she doesn't like going to school anymore..  What do you do/say.....

If you were granted one wish what would it be

Sounds like a great trip...we have only been to the Springfield IL portion, class trip for school for both kids.  Your trips sound a lot like ours, historical sites are part of almost all vacations, lol.

1.  May is a busy month.  We have our big professional meeting/end of semester party up north next week.  My older son also turns 21 next week.  My niece and our former foster daughter are graduating from high school.  And finally, my younger son and I are going astronaut-stalking in Tucson.

2.  I don't think my younger son is going to want to spend his senior year being homeschooled.  Homeschooling was always an option when the kids were younger.  I'd have been open to it if either of the kids were interested for the right reasons.

3.  One wish?  I'd eliminate poverty.

We do tend to include history on our trips. Seeing the places makes it much more real than just reading in books. This specific trip I wanted the bee to be just another day of histoy activities to help cushion the loss.  He really expects to win.  In our area he is the BIG fish in a small pond.  This event is good for him to see there are much begger fish out there.
