What plans lie ahead for May

Your kid comes home and says s/he wants to be homeschooled.  When you ask why she says because she doesn't like going to school anymore..  What do you do/say.....

If you were granted one wish what would it be

What plans lie ahead for May

Busy month with lots of shows at my theater, the season on-sale for next year, plus all the stuff for the girl- school musical,  day long chorus festival, 8th grade semi formal etc.. Oh! and also i'm goign to my 25th college reunion dinner --very excited about that!

Your kid comes home and says s/he wants to be homeschooled.  When you ask why she says because she doesn't like going to school anymore..  What do you do/say.....Once i'm done laughing I would send her back to school.   honestly if I homeschooled she'd know no math and have an advanced degree in Fosse and Sondheim

If you were granted one wish what would it be One more day with my whole family together- my mom, my sister, my dad (all deceased) , and my brother , so that my parents and my sister could see how my daughter and my nephews have grown up and blossomed.

I'm going to the Baltimore Sewing and Quilt Expo.

2.  I'd tell my child that's between him, his boss and his wife.

3. I'd like a garage, but I could do with a covered patio, too, so it could go either way.

May...Family plans for birthdays and Mother's Day.  We are traveling to Atlanta for DS to participate in the National History Bee finals.  Planning to vist some Civil war sights along the drive.

My son is homeschooled.  He would say he likes it because it allows him to go at his own pace, to have a personalized education to meet his interests, to dig as deep as he would like in subjects, time for field trips, it gives him time for hobbies and time for his friends, he can sleep in, he can do many extra curriculars and he has time to spend with DH who works from home but does extensive traveling.

If I could have one wish it would be for 5 billion  dollars.  Having that kind of money would allow me to fulfill many other wishes.

I would ask why and try and figure out what can be changed because we are not homeschooling lol

If you were granted one wish what would it be

May is one of my favorite months of the year, Last full month of my kids' school, brother's birthday, breaking out the grill weather, last full week of school myself while I also ponder a Summer course, travels, teacher appreciation week, chaperoning a field trip at DS' school.  May is the month my parents were married and when mom was alive I always remembered them with a card, I still think of them when May comes around.

Thank you bea, Lol.  DD2 threw that by me yesterday - I call her my dreamer but her struggles at school are increasing and I feel her pain.  But no, Educators are far better at their jobs than I (as I push her out the car door!) ;)

I don't know the answer to this one yet...  But it will come to me.....

What plans lie ahead for May?  Wedding on Saturday, finals week next week, DH and DS finish up on 5/10 and DD is done at the end of the month.

If you were granted one wish what would it be?   To be supreme ruler of the universe. ;)

What kind of curriculum do you follow turtlemom? I actually inquired with the state about homeschooling and it's intimidating, The expectations are similar if not identical to what my kid gets at school.  I can understand the conveniences but I don't think I can manage her education the way she gets that at school, I also think it's more isolating b/c her friends are at school. Are you a part of a community of other homeschool families?

Looking for a new home.  Blech.

Your kid comes home and says s/he wants to be homeschooled.  When you ask why she says because she doesn't like going to school anymore..  What do you do/say.....

Go find a different mom and then you can be homeschooled. I am not qualified to teach anyone anything, and wouldn't want to try it if I could.  As far as not liking it anymore...we all have to do things we don't like to do, so suck it up.

If you were granted one wish what would it be

I don't think one wish would do it.  A gazillion dollars would take care of a lot of it, but not some of it...so I guess I'd have to go with wishing for a bunch more wishes.
