Meal plan for the week of 4/7:
Sun, 04-07-2013 - 1:40pm

Sun: whole grilled green chile chicken; corn, mango and jicama salad

Mon: sauteed red cabbage with onions and smoked sausage, garlic bread

The rest of the days may vary, but here's where I've got it for now:

Tues: Chicken and mushrooms in garlic white wine sauce, egg noodles, veggie

Wed: roasted pork loin, roasted potatoes, glazed carrots

Thurs: fancy grilled cheese and tomato soup

Fri: Pork with coconot peanut sauce, rice, veggie

Sat: tabouli, lemon pepper or greek chicken

I've also got a craving for egg salad, so we may substitute egg salad sandwiches in there or have them for lunch Sat. lunch.   I also want to make a pineapple angel food cake.

Let's see....

Sunday: Out with the extended family.

Monday:  Marinated Mahi Mahi, roasted green beans and brown rice.

Tuesday:  Grilled pork tenderloin, roasted broccoli and potatoes on the grill.

Wednesay:  Grilled burgers, salad and roasted potatoes

Thursday:  Flounder, roasted carrots and risotto.

Friday:  Orange chicken with stir fry veggies and brown rice.

Saturday: Out.

Sunday: Went to Casa Oaxaca in Adams Morgan with Geschichtsgal.  We both had Tres Moles for dinner.  Geschichtgal had hibiscus and ginger ice cream, strawberry sorbet and mango sorbet for dessert.  I had Tres Leches cake for dessert.  It was all mind blowingly delicious :)  Glad the walk from Metro to the hotel and then from the hotel to the restaurant was basically straight uphill!!   And that the walk after all that lovely food was mostly downhill :)

Tonight: Porkchops with spinach souffle and red pepper strips.

Tomorrow: Spicy Udon noodles with cucumber and red pepper in a red chile/honey/vinegar with Chicken.

Wednesday:  Braised pork shoulder "chops" (take a pork shoulder, cut it into chops, marinate it and braise) with cucumbers and cottage cheese.

Thursday: Lemon Chicken tenderloins with broccoli and a brown rice pilaf.

Friday: Salad with fake crab meat.

Yesterday: steak and mashed potatoes

Mon: lasagna w/meat sauce and zucchini layers

Tues: beef stroganoff, egg noodles and salad

I know there will be left-over lasagna and hopefully beef stroganoff for Wed and Thurs.  Not sure about Friday.

Nothing that will impress anyone and not on the "very" healthy side this week. Oh well....

Sunday-we had Ravioli's (yes, packaged ravioli's-think Italian Village, hubby went shopping and got what I told him was on sale lol) and the horror, jarred sauce. Not feeling like making my own this weekend.

Monday-we are having chicken nuggets (no not homemade but from a package that hubby picked up on his adventures food shopping this weekend), french fries (no not homemade this week either as I did a few weeks ago with red potatoes, salt, garlic and evoo-yum) think Ore-Ida (this time ds picked them out lol) and some type of veggie that the hubby makes

No order and just what we have:

Steak (possibly steak sandwiches or just steak and some sides), Pork Chops (marinated in some way and sides), Chicken (if hubby is cooking most likely chicken cutlets and sides), Pasta (and sauce), Lloyds Pulled Pork (yes the bad stuff from the container which the kids will eat so no battles there).
