I have found over the years that just doesn't really work for me, I tend to forget to take things out on a regular basis, lol.  I tend to do what thardy described and have a rough idea of the week but go to the grocery every 3-4 days to round out my meal planning.</p>

I get really annoyed if I have to go to the grocery store more than once a week.

"There is no starch in the meals you just provided above. How can he be big with eating fish, fruits and vegetables all the time?" --------- OK, to lose weight you have to consume fewer calories than you need. He doesn't do that. He eats enough calories to maintain the weight he had when I found him. Fruit has carbs, veggies do too and we also eat bread. I honestly don't understand why you keep questioning this.

"She has mentioned things in the past and they were mostly fruits and vegetables." ------- We do eat a lot of vegetables, but we also eat legumes (beans basically) and those provide carbs. In addition, we eat things like skordalia and other sauces/dips that are made from nuts and olive oil etc, thus also providing extra calories.

"I get really annoyed if I have to go to the grocery store more than once a week." -------- LOL, ok, that is a little different here. For tonight's meal we had the mushrooms, broccoli and fish (frozen), but before cooking, around 8:30 PM, i trundled down to the green grocer to get some cilantro.

If I had small, convenient stores it might be different.   My choices are limited and inlcude Wal-Mart ... ugh.

George Takei just died a little inside.

"If I had small, convenient stores it might be different. We do usually do a fairly big round of shopping on Saturdays, but enough to last the week. We also eat out a lot, like 3-4 times a week, so that factors in too. Today, for example, we had lunch out, yesterday we had dinner out.

If Rollmops had instead chosen to explain the current situation in Greece today, with all of the anti-austerity public strikes for years and Greece being on the verge of poverty, you wouldn't feel so badly.  Be very happy for what you have because you have a lot to be thankful for.
