1. What did the kiddo's get in their Easter Baskets this year (if applicable)?

2. What color nailpolish do you have on your nails and toenails?

3. If you wear jewelry, do you buy more earrings, necklaces, rings or bracelets?

I don't do much makeup unless going out (which I usually only add eyeshadow). Moisturizer, foundation, eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss.

That's interesting you can trace hair back to grandparents, I really don't remember what my nonna's hair was like, She and my mom were always getting perms..

I can't do Frizz-Ease. My hair is baby-fine (and  I have tons of it). It's really hard to find a product that doesn't make my hair either heavy and oily or stiff and crunchy. I found this curl lotion that worked well, but haven't been able to find it since.

Shaking my head at the things grown women get their panties in a wad about.

My younger dd has hair like yours.  Funny how completely different it is than my hair and my older dd's hair.  I curled it for Easter and it barely lasted through Mass.  By the time we got home, you couldn't even tell I'd curled it.  She's so lucky though that she can let it dry naturally and it looks soft and silky without any effort.

By the way, my hair doesn't hold any style either, even with strong hair spray, b/c it is so thick the weight immediately drops any style.

Oh, and the only reason I use (a very light) gel is b/c my hair would friz without it.

Marla, my hair was the same way when it was longer. It didn't matter what product I used, or how much time I spent on it (drying, curling, straightening, etc) it looked pretty much the same as when I did nothing. I wore a lot of pony tails and occassionally I would brai it, but that was about it. Surprisingly, I have a lot more options when it's short....

I am definitely low-maintenance. I don't wear makeup or jewelry and my wardrobe embraces neutrals. I wear my hair long because it's straight and doesn't hold any style. Even super industrial wedding party hair barely holds long enough for photos. I keep it colored in a deep auburn color and bobby pin it out of my face. Unless it's below 20 degrees outside, I don't blow dry it: I step out of the shower, towel-dry and comb my hair, get dressed and leave. I can spend forty minutes on my hair or two, it all looks identical in the end.

My hair does odd things too. lol. If I let it dry naturally, it is just a nasty, ugly, frizzy, wavy (but ugly wavy lol) mess. Even after blow drying, it needs to be fixed. I use the straightener and then Frizz Ease to take away the frizz (which it does even on the most humid days) and "tames" it.

I wish I could wear my hair curly but I really just have an awkward wave, but only if I let my hair dry naturally.  Problem is that I have very thick, coarse hair, so if I let it dry naturally, it just looks a frizzy, wavy mess, even if I use a product in it.  As a result, I HAVE to dry my hair.  I can use a defrizz product along with drying it and it looks decent, but to make it look really nice, I need to use a straightener.  But if I straighten it, I can't sleep on it or it looks bad the next day.  I also cannot wear my hair short b/c of the frizz and the thickness. Well, I take that back, I can wear it shorter, like a bob, but I cannot have layers as they don't lay right b/c of the weight and frizz.  Bob length is ok, but not in the summer - it just puffs out too much.  As a result, I usually keep my hair about shoulder length.

DD13 has even more hair than I do and it's also coarse, but hers is much more wavy.  If she didn't get the frizz, it would look so pretty left wavy.  Unfortunately, b/c it's so thick and coarse, she can't just let it dry with the wave, she needs to brush it, which pulls out the wave, plus she has all kinds of frizzies along the scalp.  UGH!  I've tried several products but nothing seems to work well.  Because it's long and so thick, it takes her FOREVER to dry, and as a result, she hates washing her hair!  So, now she normally washes it at night, lets it air dry overnight, then she uses a straightener the next day.  She gets compliments on her pretty, thick hair, but if they only knew what a nightmare it is to take care of!  If I ever were "rich" I swear I'd pay someone to do our hair on a daily basis!
