Mom Wants Death Benefits for Twins Conceived After the Dad's Death

This one made me read further, in the article it goes on to say that the case is not unique - "At least four families have sued the Social Security Administration to secure benefits for children conceived after their fathers died.”

Here's the link.. what do you think, should the mom receive SS Benefits? After all, it was her choice..

Yes it is not the IVF that is contraversial and puts the SS benefits in danger of being denied.

The article that was in the original OP said SS benefits could be awarded in some states due to their state laws on wills/probate etc.

I have a friend whose husband was killed when she was pregnant, and her son receives survivor's benefits.
