Moms who know better than you
Find a Conversation

Kind of joking there. But the other day I met a mom who was certain she knew which area schools were the best. I told her my children are happily in public school, but upon entering middle school and/or upon entering 8th grade, if any of mine wants, then we'll take a tour of all of the schools in the area ~ private, several Catholic. Not a Catholic, lol, she told me unequivocally that, yes, I needed to take my children on a tour of the local Catholic schools NOW because they are the best schools in the area. Because of course her kids went there. Her children graduated from high school long ago, but I never quite got my answer on what they were all doing now.
Anyway, the "conversation" (monologue?) continued until my friend saw me cornered. Has this kind of thing happened to you ~ older mom telling you how to do it better? How do you handle moms with children older than yours who are a little too liberal and pushy with their advices? ....Have you ever been that mom?

As I said, I did and didn't find any. You are of course free to repost those examples, you know since you claim that you already did. Yes, you say lots of things in this thread, I don't believe the majority of them, past history...I'm sure you understand. :)

<<Not really as the parks I have talked about are playgrounds for kids or places where they play sports. Not sure why I would just walk around them. I have my neighborhood if I wanted to walk or the track nearby. Other than that, I would have to go and drive to find something with "scenary" (if that is what you are speaking of a "park").>>
You don't just go for a walk? You don't have trees in your parks to walk around?
Yes, around my neighborhood or on the track. No, no trees in the parks in walking distance or close to drive to that I would walk around. Mostly things for the kids to play on and sports things.
<<You can go back and read my posts. You must have passed them by. >>
Well, until you post them again or repeat...I will go with they don't exsist. Too many previous made up comments and remarks for me to take you at your word, sorry. :)
Not sure why it is MY responsibility to go back and look for things I know I posted. You want to see them, do the research. They are there.
<Because memories are not "tied" to money but MANY, if not MOST memories REQUIRE money (at one time or another). >>
I think memories shouldn't be about money, I'm sorry that you don't have any that aren't tied to money.
Neither do I nor I said they should be or that mine my memories include money.

Go back and re-read that post. I was responding to something that was posted. I did not make it up.
<<No I indicated that, that too, has money tied in with it, NOT the memories. >>
No, actually it doesn't. You tied money to it, that doesn't mean money is tied to it in general. You have tied money to all of your memories so far on this board.
<<I never considered playing in the leaves as fun. lol. If a pile is being made, it is to clean it up. As an adult all I can think about is the nasty bugs in them and the double amount of work to do to get the job done. One or 2 jumpings, sure, all day, no.>>
Ah, you are missing out on a lot of fun! I did lol at the, all day comment...now the examples have to be all day too!

You did not look if you didn't find any.
We don't get rid of them, we compost them, they will eventually go back into the garden.

Nope. I have said that MOST things require money to do. I didn't say that I tied them together with my memories.

I guess people are different then. Shrug.
Why not just repeat them? I did go and look, did you not read that in my comments?
Can you explain why you look at memories and think money?

That's nice.
