1. Will you be shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

2. "5 months of bills...." as the song says. Do you have a budget for the holidays or do you have "5 months of bills..."?

3. What is one food that most people make for Thanksgiving that you do not like?

4. Do you dress up for Thanksgiving?

Well, ds is sometimes up before 6:30 .. but dd doesn't get up until she absolutely has to. Teens!

30 minutes??-lol!!

I would HATE to have to spend that amount of time doing laundry on my days off. Today I threw in a load of colored clothes, my dh put it in the dryer when I went out shopping, I took it out when I got home, folded it and put it away.

I can't see being anal about folding clothes that are going to be hung up.

Why would you fold clothes that are going to be hung up at all?

of course there's no one right or wrong, you've already addressed that..for the most part, i've let things come natural for my kids, i never handed her ( or him ) a bowl and spoon at 5, 6 or 7 and said go at it, bake something but they have helped me bake.

Could your DD make a batch of chocolate chip cookies by herself? Has she made cookies (from scratch, not a can or package) by herself before?

She has never made them by herself but she can read a recipe and knows how to use kitchen tools so I don't doubt she could not do it. She never has had the interest to do it by herself though. (again, I would allow her if she wanted to, I have never not allowed them to do something like this).

OMG! You make her turn her clothes right side out before she puts them on? You're stealing her childhood!

Make her? Nope, that is why it is never done-lol!!!

Since cooking and laundry are out, what kinds of things do your kids have responsibility for?

Cleaning up the things they use, toys, crafts, etc., putting their laundry in the bathroom for the hamper or thrown downstairs (yes, my ADHD child needs a little more pushing with that), putting away their jackets and shoes when they come home, putting away their schoolbags on the weekend, helping me out when needed for whatever (yesterday dd vacuumed for me, she puts away the dishes in the dishwasher, ds helped me with the laundry, they help outside with the leaves, decorations, they help me set the table, clean off the table, put their dishes in the dishwasher, etc.)

Bawwahhhaa...you DID read my first part of that post, right?

You didn't find it easier as a kid not having the responsibility of a home, family, job? The lazy days of the summer, the fun in the winter having snow days off, the holidays?
