1. Will you be shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

2. "5 months of bills...." as the song says. Do you have a budget for the holidays or do you have "5 months of bills..."?

3. What is one food that most people make for Thanksgiving that you do not like?

4. Do you dress up for Thanksgiving?

Do you like your Brother serger? I've been thinking about getting one. My sewing machine is a Brother, and it seems to work well enough. I don't really want to spend a small fortune on a serger until I'm sure I'll like it, and that one is pretty reasonably priced.

That's one of the reasons I love my Fiestaware. Some of the colors might be discontinued, but for the most part everything is completely interchangeable.

I have inherited a lot of silver both flatware and display pieces and in the humid climate in which I live it tarnishes fast. It looks good for about three weeks after I polish everything and by six weeks looks awful. This last week I hired a teen to polish all nmy tuff. Best forty bucks I have spent in a long time.

We used to go to the mall every Black Friday just to walk around-lol!!

I am not going to mall though, just individual stores. I don't have much left so that is good. A few gc's for teachers/leaders. Will check out Costco this morning for 3 more gifts. Need to send my mom a gc.

"The thing that bugs me about sets and the reason that I went to the open stock method is sets always come with cups and saucers."

Yes, very true, and once you get into "proper" porcelain sets, also all kinds of arcane serving dishes, often ugly. I much prefer to stick with plain, simple dishes and just buy piles of the stuff I actually need and use.

To me, it implies promiscuity or drug use or perhaps kids who are forced to take on adult responsibilities by unfortunate circumstances. The kid who is baking cookies at age 12 or 13 is doing something age-appropriate. If the 12 or 13 year old has neglectful parents and has to make money around the neighborhood to buy groceries so he can make three meals a day for himself and his 6 younger brothers in order to get anything to eat, that might contribute to growing up too fast. Giving kids age appropriate responsibilities is part of good parenting.
