Yes. I know. You said <> as if having a cleaning service would result in "coming home to a clean house everyday without having to do it myself". It doesn't. Cleaning services only come once a week or every two weeks.

Now, if only I had an ALICE. Sigh.

My point is that it can be very helpful for people to learn to cook before they leave the parental home.

The point is that the purpose of raising children is to teach them what they need to know so that they'll be fine on their own - a statement with which you indicated you

But it would have been less of an adjustment if you didn't have to learn things you didn't already know. THere's no way for you to know the difference because that's not how it was.
