1. Will you be shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

2. "5 months of bills...." as the song says. Do you have a budget for the holidays or do you have "5 months of bills..."?

3. What is one food that most people make for Thanksgiving that you do not like?

4. Do you dress up for Thanksgiving?

My question has absolutely nothing to do with this thread: In your profile pic, is that a pair of shoes or two tubes of lipstick? I'm having perception issues.

How often do they have parties? Why would your kids listen to music at recess, don't they *play* (you know, like children)? Is it mandated somewhere that breaks have to include pop culture music, in order for music to be important?

Hmmm . . . all music and TV, no news. That's sounds less than well-rounded to me.

I think this somehow fits into a larger assumption/argument that kids naturally love stupid, pointless, gaudy, cheap things. Therefore no child will voluntarily or happily eat healthy food, listen to classical music, read serious books, take an interest in art museums etc. Furthermore, it is unkind, unrealistic and downright stupid to try to expose children to such things and interest them in such things, since they only like cheap, tacky etc.

Yep.

There are plenty of other ways to listen to music.

Did I say that there was something wrong with children listening to the news?

As the ONLY thing that is listened to on the radio, as thats_fowl as said what her kids listen to on the radio at home when asked, YES, there is something wrong with that. Children are not adults. They should not be treated like adults. They should not be doing adult things ONLY.
