Yep. You sound like you have a very similar attitude to the one my parents have always had. In some ways, I think my parents' lives would have been easier if we had been more mainstream in our interests, but they always put on their game faces and acted like they could not imagine a better way to spend an afternoon/evening/weekend. We often laugh at the memories of some of those weekends, and how, now, as parents ourselves, we realize how crazy some of our requests were.

i'm a station flipper in the car, LOL. but typically when the kids are with me, it's either MY station or some top 40 station we all like, even the kids call bruno mars song, you're amazing MY song, we just heard it!
