1. Will you be shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

2. "5 months of bills...." as the song says. Do you have a budget for the holidays or do you have "5 months of bills..."?

3. What is one food that most people make for Thanksgiving that you do not like?

4. Do you dress up for Thanksgiving?

No need to read into detail with some of your posts. They were totaling directed to me by the things you have said.

I'm sure that she'll correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that Merella is divorced. What gave you that idea?

I am curious, what assumptions DID she make?

A.MEN.

Yeah, I would love to know what the cruise remark meant too. I guess maybe my kids have "too" much fun. I should be making them scrub the floors and do the laundry-lol!!

What mind games? Someone asked you a question and you've sidestepped it. So I will ask too.

Which poster has indicated that they don't let their children be children or accelerate their development and how so?

My kides have been exposed to all kind of music from classical through rap. One likes country (ick), one loves jazz (yea), they all love the Beatles and current pop like Kie$ha, Rhianna, Taylor Swift - we share a itunes account so I know what they dl.

Which poster lives vicariously through their children and/or their achievements and how so?

We got them to scouts, sports, music lessons as appropriate for their age. One kid has a passion for soccer but hated scouts. One kid loves baseball and scouts, and the oldest is rather peripatetic as she flits from actiivity to activity. I support them in all they do, but other than spending most of my days driving them around, its hardly living vicariously.

Which poster has "instilled moral decisions that by many standards, is [sic] just plain wrong" and how so?

The only non-negotiable in my children's activities is their participation in religious education and community service (at least until confirmation). I refuse to raise entitled children who think they are the center of the universe. They are no more deserving than those that have much less familial support and/or material wealth. I am always impressed how they share their time and good fortune with others especially around the holidays. My oldest has political aspirations, so she reads newspapers, blogs, listens to NPR, BBC etc, though rarely watches the cable news channels. Though she's politically progressive, I'm much further to the left than she is. She can articulate her positions, which are distinctly different from mine or her father's. I consider that brain using rather than brain washing.

EGD...did you see this?
