1. Will you be shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

2. "5 months of bills...." as the song says. Do you have a budget for the holidays or do you have "5 months of bills..."?

3. What is one food that most people make for Thanksgiving that you do not like?

4. Do you dress up for Thanksgiving?

I agree with you, however, there are times when a child wants to bake when it cannot be appropriately supervised.

I agree that kids want to help and I think that great to let them help. I don't think it should be expected because a child is a certain age (whatever that age is to that person, which I have heard on this messageboard many times speaking of certain ages to be able to do certain things) they SHOULD be doing something. I never did laundry until I moved out of my parents house at 21. I would like to know WHAT the harm was that I did not learn? I barely cooked too. I was able to cook and cook well for myself, my dh and others when I moved out.

Where did you get the idea that anyone thought children should give up toys by a certain age?

i LOVED the 2 YO stage, they grow up so fast and i miss that, that's often when their imagination was at its peak - oh the towers and cities and hideouts they would make out of pots, pans, boxes.

It's not about learning to bake.

My kids carried that far into middle, even later childhood.

Come EGD, you need to give her REAL babies, b/c you know, they can't possibly enjoy playing w/pretend dolls when the real thing is so much more suitable for learning how to play and take care of real babies!
