She always told me she would rather know and not approve than be lied to. As

That is so true!

I still remember an occassion with inlaws, We were talking about kids and discipline and MIL recalled catching her kid in a lie, I don't remember if it was her daughter or DH but she said she slapped her across the face so hard that it taught her never to lie to her again.  The whole table became silent, There was nothing to say.

I find it funny Jam the amount of lies some people tell. If you would lie about how many kids you have, I am sure you lie about other things.

Here's a true one, A friend of mine has 4 kids and her oldest lives on college campus or an apartment, I really don't remember. But we were talking about our kids and what my 3 are up to, etc. etc. She goes oh, my three do too then proceeded to tell me she forgets about her oldest sometimes, Some just forget I suppose, Lol.

I wonder how you "forget" you have more kids than you actually do lol. Especially when they live at home.

I love your cat's name Lauren, and he's terribly cute! We name our pets to cities we live in - Our dog was a rescue from Houston and named accordingly.

Thank you!  He was named during a brainstorming event in the car the weekend before we actually got him.  We were thinking of potential cat names and Joel said he should name him something geeky and computer-related.  I kind of rolled my eyes and said, "Like what, MacIntosh? Hahahahahaha..." And Joel was like, "OMG! Yes!"  So, MacIntosh he is.  It fits him.  :)
