[I am not a fan of super-short skirts, either. It doesn't even matter to me who they're on and what their legs look like...it's just an unbecoming look]......... Younger girls can definitely get away with them more. I just don't like the very short skirts where the girls can't even bend over without you seeing everything lol.

No, they call it an iMac not an Iapple lol. Yes, most businesses abbreviate now or just go to all letters. Has been like that for many years.

1.  What was the last thing you did for your kid?  I made older dd lunch for school.  I woke up (multiple times) dd2 to get ready for school.  My kids are such sound sleepers!

2.  What things do you like doing with your kids?  Watch movies and there are a couple tv shows we all watch.  I like talking to them, dd1 is easy to joke with/talk with & I even like shopping with them now.  Dd2 and I have started going to the gym together.

3.  What memories stand out about your own mom...  Good or bad?  Mostly good, I probably blocked out most of the bad. ; )  She was a sahm until we were in elementary school then she worked part time at one of the schools in our district (there were only 3, so it was an elementary/middle school and I went to the school she worked at for 2 years--when in middle school).  She always seemed to know everybody and I pretty much knew I couldn't get away with much, she'd hear about it eventually--small town and both my parents grew up there too.  And she knew most of the kids I went to school with, since she worked at the school.

4.  How many kids do you have?  Is it a # you planned for/wanted?  Both planned for

5.  Do you have a pet(s)?  Yes 2 toy poodles.

This has been a nice thread, thanks Jam!

Since growing out of the little girl section there's not a lot of variety for junior shorts IME and they won't shop in misses with me, Lol.  Maybe the daisy duke look will be out this Summer, Last year my kid wanted a 49.00 pair that I refused to buy, She found a pair at the Limited or Aeropostle for 1/2 that.

I don't like the really short shorts they have for girls now.  I won't buy them for my girls--luckily it's not that hot here. : )

My girls have long legs and they look good in shorts but I hate the short, short skirts.

(Begging for warm weather, can't you tell?  Lol, today was a snow day but Spring and shorts season is just around the corner, right?) ;-)

Most names are abbreviated?  I don't know about all that.  We don't do nicknames in the shortened name sense...although we do have a few names for the cat that are completely unrelated to his actual name.

Nobody says they have an iMacintosh because there's no such thing.  However, Macintosh is indeed a computer-related name...as is Apple.

I just never thought of automatically connecting it to a computer, It could have been a family name or something. Yea, then there's "Mac" too, That sounds like a name my kid would give his future pet - as in big mac or Mac the great, Lol!
