Do anyone see on the news or read anywhere that certain movies,
I just checked out the prices here. To see a 3D movie at the Imax Theater is $12 (adult). To see 3D movies at the local theater Fri-Sat evening is $13 (adult) $12.75 other evenings (adult)
For me to pay $19.50 for a movie would depend on the event. My DDs and DD1 SO's are big movie fans so movies are what we sometimes do as family time.
It can be hard to either:
A. Find something that we would all like to see
B. Find a time when we can all do it at the same time.
So if there was something that fit that criteria and it cost $19.50 then I may spend it because getting to enjoy something with all of my kids would trump the cost.
But if it were just a "why don't we see what is playing at the movies" then I wouldn't. In fact for those nights I generally check out the discount theater first.
I was folding the laundry and I hear 19.50 for a 3- max movie,

Last time dh and I went to the movies was to see Borat, so that must be about 5 years ago. The time before that was to see Fahrenheit911 and the time before that was Big, Fat, Greek Wedding (we even took dd to that). I think those are the only 3 movies we have watched together in a theatre in the last 15 years or so.
Dd went a fair amount for a few years, to see things like Harry Potter, but she went with friends, not with us. Now, she and her friends usually don't bother. If they feel like watching movies, they rent a DVD.
However, she and dh may go to watch Alice. For some reason dh likes that book, and dd loves Johnny. I won't join them though, lol, can't stand that story.
What would men be without women? Scarce, sir, mighty scarce.
At Pirate's of the Caribbean in Disneyworld they now have Jack Sparrow (Johnny) and my, my...does he look just like him-yummm-lol!!
