Welcome to a new week :)

1. Has spring "sprung" by you yet?

2. What are you wearing today?

3. Do you make a special menu for Easter (if you celebrate it)?

I'm thinking I'd rather spend a week in prison than a week on Atlantis. At least the prison stint might be educational.

Oh, and Hazel, please stop trying to hack my yahoo accounts again. It is extremely annoying, and I need one of them for talking to a friend in the middle east.

I had to look up Atlantis. Wow! Yeah, we would not be going there.

<<PKA, have you been to the Atlantis and DW>>

WDW and DL, yes...Atlantis, no.  To be honest (and I hope this doesn't offend you) resorts like the Atlantis are really not my cup of tea, they are rather limited in their focus.

Castles, piles of them. We did also see the cathedral in Chartres, but that was both worthwhile and very memorable. As for the castles, I prefer scandi manor houses.

Bord, lol on your son's essay. I do remember, though, attending mass in St. Peter's on one trip over Christmas. That was truly awesome.

My kids have never had a say on where to go for vacactions, but we have tried to do things that all would enjoy.  </p>[/quote]

My kids also don't have a say where we go on vacations.  They will get that say when they are adults and paying for it all--they can go whereever they want!  Of course when we plan a vacation we talk to them about where we are going and what kind of activities they would like to do there.

Um you're all talking about sarcasm and you haven't called in an expert yet... are you sure that's wise?  Puss and I are always available for expert opinions

My husband and I have always set the general parameters for where we are going, but we sit down as a family and talk about what there is to do in the different places, and the kids get to have some say in activities they want to do.  Much of our travel is work related, that is, my husband or I would have to be in some European city for work, sometimes for a few days, sometimes for weeks on end, and we'd make a virtue of it by bringing along the family and staying for a few weeks or months.  Then we'd say, "OK, what do you guys want to do in Paris?  We've got time for one amusement park. Parc Asterix or EuroDisney?  We're going to go out into the countryside one weekend:  Lorraine, or Normandy?"  That sort of thing.

We have planned whole vacations around the kids' interests, though.  It doesn't mean that we are always doing what the kid would like, but that the reason we were in Florida in the first place, for instance, revolves around the kids' interests in baseball and human space exploration.
